How Free Vending Machine Placement Works in Niagara and Hamilton
By Ontario Vending ·

What "free vending" means for a host
If you've ever wondered how a business ends up with a fully stocked vending machine in the break room without paying for it, the answer is free placement. With this arrangement, a vending company supplies the machine and takes care of everything that comes with it, while the host simply provides the spot.
At Ontario Vending, that means we install, stock, clean and maintain the machine at no cost to you. There's no equipment to buy, no products to order and no repairs to arrange. Your role is to tell us about your location and what the people there would enjoy. We handle the rest, from the first delivery to every restock after that.
We're a family-owned company based in Beamsville, in business since 2023 and serving the Niagara Region and Hamilton. Being local means we know the area well and can look after the places we serve as part of our own community.
Which locations it suits
Free vending works well anywhere people spend a good part of their day and would appreciate a snack or a cold drink close by. Every site is different, so we assess each location individually and recommend what fits best.
Locations that suit free vending include offices and warehouses, where staff on busy shifts can recharge without leaving the building, and apartments and condos, where a machine in the lobby or laundry room becomes a handy resident amenity.
Schools can offer products chosen together with staff, while hotels and motels give guests round-the-clock snacks without extra work for the front desk. Gyms are a natural fit for drinks and protein bars, and greenhouses, farms and wineries can keep crews and visitors refreshed at sites far from the nearest store. You can see every location type on our Who We Serve page.
Choosing the products and machine type
One of the best parts of free placement is that the host chooses the products. You can fill a machine with classic chips and chocolate, healthier snacks, sparkling water, sports drinks or any mix your people prefer. If tastes change over time, the selection can change with them.
We offer several kinds of machines. Snack machines and drink machines each focus on one category, while a combo machine serves both from a single unit, which is handy when space is tight. Smart coolers are self-serve fridges for chilled items, and micromarkets work like a small self-checkout shop for larger break areas. You can compare them all on our machines page, and we're happy to suggest the right option once we've seen your space.
How people pay
Paying should take seconds, so our machines support the ways people already like to pay. Our snack, drink and combo vending machines accept cash, card and tap, which means customers can use coins and bills, a debit or credit card, or a phone or watch.
Smart coolers and micromarkets are card and tap only. With a smart cooler, a customer taps to unlock the door, takes what they want and is charged only for the items they removed. In a micromarket, people choose their items and pay at the self-checkout. Either way, there's no cash to manage on site.
Restocking, cleaning and refunds
Once a machine is in place, we keep it in great shape. We restock and clean it as often as your location needs, so popular items stay available and the machine looks tidy. A busy plant floor may need more frequent visits than a quiet office, and we adjust to suit each site.
Every so often a purchase doesn't go as planned. When that happens, customers can reach us directly instead of going through the host. They can use our feedback page, call us at 514-607-3271 or email vendontario@gmail.com, and we'll make it right. That keeps things simple for you and gives your staff, residents or guests a quick way to get help.
How to get started
Getting a free machine starts with a short conversation. Send us a few details about your location through our contact page, or give us a call at 514-607-3271. Tell us about your space, the people who would use the machine and the kinds of products you have in mind.
From there, we look at your site and recommend the machine types that suit it. Once your location is approved, we install as soon as our supplier has a machine available, and we'll keep you in the loop along the way. After that, all you need to do is enjoy having snacks and drinks close at hand while we look after the restocking, cleaning and maintenance.
If you run a business, building, school or other site in the Niagara Region or Hamilton, we'd be glad to hear from you.
